A few people have commented on my blog about Phil Ivey with some serious sick anger and hate towards me. Some have said that I am a nobody in The Poker World.. Those who said that are only partially right because I really a nobody in the Universe.. I do not pretend to be anyone special, or think of myself as such. As people, we come and go, we are born, and we die, period! Think about how big The Universe is, then think about how small this earth is in comparision. Regarding my Ivey blog;
It was not meant for me to come off as self righteous, as I am sure some of you might have thought it sounded. You see, I just do not like what Ivey represents in life because I used to live a similar life. I used to do lots of partying, Drug use, women, and did not care about anyone else but myself. It is not that I think Ivey is a terrible person, but to a degree, I know his way of life, and have seen it on a smaller scale with my brother, I think the difference is with Mike, is that Mike does care about people although sometimes he comes off as if he does not. Growing up in the same family, Mike and I learned to be straight shooters, to say what we mean and mean what we say, sometimes at the expense of pissing other people off. We learned this from our most wonderful Mother and Father, just get it out there, do not hold things in, speak your mind!
I refer to ” a lot of poker players” being scumbags. I should also point out that there are some very decent people I have met in the poker world. Phil Helmuth is one person that comes to mind. Yes, I know, he acts like a dick at the poker tables, but he is a good Father and Husband to his family. He does care about people, he just has some social type issues. Danny Negreanu is another person who is a decent dude. Danny speaks his mind honestly for the most part, and cares about people as well. He might get a little soap-boxy at times, but for the most part, he means well.
The kind of people I do not like, or want anything to do with are the ones who just care about themselves, their own fun, not caring who they hurt, angry, egomanical, and small minded narcissists, whom about I got 6 or 7 of their replies on my post about The Ivey Situation, and which I beleive Ivey is a Narcissist as well.
I do not care about burning a bridge with Ivey, because there is not one to burn, I want nothing from him and never will.
Regarding The FTP current non payment issue, this has really bothered me for several reasons. One, I knew long before hand that Black Friday was going to happen and I tried to warn people to only leave the money they needed to play with on the sites. I spoke about the very issues a lot of you are facing now. I take no joy in being right about what was going to happen as it upsets me quite a bit that it did happen.
Regarding those who think I live off my brother’s name, Have you seen me enter into any live poker tournaments or try to get a sponsorship with any site?
How many ads do you see on my blog here? I do not make a living from poker. I used to play live cash games and made a semi living at that, but I really did not like it all that much, and was not all that passionate about it, even though I made decent money.
About the only way I live off my brother’s last name (which was and is my last name first, I am older) is that some people might find some interest in what I have to say because of the last name. I have seen people use my brother for years, cheat him, screw him over, etc, etc. To you guys he is The Mouth. To me, he is my kid brother, whom I want nothing more than to try to be a loving brother, PERIOD! I have said things to piss him off for sure, interjecting thoughts into his world of poker. But if Mike is reading this, understand, we both speak our minds, we both sometimes piss people off and say the wrong thing, though we both do not mean to. Look at Mom and Dad, 48 years of marriage, never holding back anything. Look how we grew up. Never any secrets, always expressing every emotion!
I want those reading this to please understand. I am deeply upset over the current FTP issue, and I try to get any and all info I can, because I know many of you are out a lot of money currently.. FTP will pay, and I am hearing they have a target date to do this. All I will and can say currently on that issue.

Well said, Scott.
I think it’s bullshit that Phil Ivey is being called out for bull shit. On the surface of it, him suing Tilt Software for 150 million dollars is not in the interest of all the US players because it makes things “more complicated”
The reality of it…. since when does 150 million fucking dollars matter to an online poker site that’s been raking us for 8 years? Ironically, isn’t that the estimated ‘magic number’ that’s owed back to American players? Yes that’s a lot of money, but they’re good for it. If they owed us 300 or 600 million, they’d still be good for it. So this lawsuit doesn’t hurt our chances of getting money back at all.
Actually on the flip, if you really want to nit pick, this lawsuit and his boycott of the WSOP helps the players. You know Ivey’s chances to win a bracelet every summer are better than %99 of the other guys out there. And he makes other final tables. With him not playing, those are buyins and bonuses(for media coverage) that Full Tilt won’t have to spend on Phil Ivey this summer. That’s at least a couple hundred thousand dollars they don’t have to spend on Ivey this summer. You guys got it all twisted.
I don’t know Ivey personally. I don’t know his habits, but hey even if the thing about drugs and partying is true, that’s irrelevant to any opinion any one should have of him in this. So why is it being brought up in the first place?
My first post ended up being longer than I expected. Simply put, the 150 million that’s owed to US players aint shit to Full Tilt. The extra 150 million that Ivey is suing them for aint shit either. This lawsuit doesn’t hurt us.
Its about time one of the FTP pros broke silence.
Can you please delete this reply here and post your thoughts on Ivey/FTP in the other blog post? Kind of off topic for this post. I would appreciate it, thanks!
