To start, I would like to address the “Quanitative Easing” of The Federal Reserve, which many wrongly mistake for stimulus and growth.
QE was targeted to INFLATE LIQUIDITY. The Fed does not use “American people’s money,” they use newly printed money that they print. The Fed is not, NOT A GOV AGENCY! it is a privately held central world bank. Bernake did not say specifically that QE would “heal” the economy, but to give banks proper liquidity to create the first step of ecomonic easing with proper liquidity in the current 9 year contraction phase. With proper liquidity, things “can” (not will) start fresh and in time, help all markets.
I don’t know how many times i can keep explaining this.. The 2008 near depression was about illiquidity caused by defaults & upside down assests accross the board. Banks, families, Business. The Fed did a good job in terms of what they can do.. another QE is not warranted at this time..a QE light/Twist is somewhat warranted.
The biggest problem we face now is banks not wanting to lend to biz because biz conditions are not favorable under current gov reg and tax structuring. Liquidity among the banks is fine. The problem now is squarely in the hands of Congress and Obama.. Yes, big banks are greedy and cheat.. A fact that won’t ever change! Liberal minded fantasy idealists with the idea of over throwing/changing the rich, “forcing fair policy on them” will only serve to inspire them to remove even more jobs, and more liquidity from our country. “Stick it to the rich” as wanting them to pay “more taxes” will only serve to inspire them to further “hide” their money, again, removing liquidity from an already fragile economy.
The spots on a leopard do not change folks! Liberals claim to want fairness, but at what cost? gov cannot change the hearts of the greedy wicked ones. The Mentality of “screw the rich” will only serve to further hurt “the poor”..
The answer is to appeal to their greed, give incentives for them to re-invest in this country, create legislation such as an “Affirmative Job Creation Act” for corporations who are willing to resource jobs here. In return, they would receive a zero tax rate, and gov money to help them move their overseas offices and bases back to America.
Create incentive based milestone payments for each American job quota filled. Corporations are about bottom lines.. Appeal to their bottom line. This will create real jobs in America and real world competition where America is #1 biz friendly. De unionize on a union by union basis and create a federal workers union with uniform rights and standards for all labor.
Repeal nafta, insist China agree to fair trade and fair human rights to their people, or refuse entry of their products into America. If they wont change, and refusal is not an option, place heavy tarrifs on them.. inspire America production before consumption.
If our gov is willing to do these things, and we are willing as Americans, standing together in this, we can fix our problems in 3 years or less. Congress must put aside partisian bickering and tired old failed idealogy.
When do we as Americans come together? When we are threatened as a nation, 9-11, attacks on our country, then we stand together. During and after WW2, what happened? we stood together, and we prospered. Does it really have to take another real World War to force us to take a stand together? Currently, we are repeating history, and that repetition shows a big war is coming, if we refuse to stand together now!
Freedom was established in this country because sacrifices were made.. A lack of sacrifice will lead us eventually to a lack of freedom, and loss of liberties. Hence, we are a spoiled people collectively. We continue to take our liberties and freedoms for granted.
Here is why we establish military presence everywhere;
it is to protect our apathetic and consumption first ways! If we collectively change our ways, then we can diminish that military presence! This presence does in fact, protect our way of life, and our way of life, colletively, is not good at this time!
Apathy, consumption before production, “me, me, I, I,” and instant gratification thinking is destroying America.. it is OUR FAULT COLLECTIVELY.. we decide!
If we will not use our liberties wisely, we will lose them, and eventually lose America, because of these things.. we are to blame FIRST!
And to be fair, Right wing thinking in terms of giving corporations huge breaks, WITHOUT CONDITIONS such as I mention in my blog here ARE DEPLORABLE and equally as bad!
